A gentle Sangiovese based blend with soft red fruits, herbal notes, and a touch of spice. Though the wine's roots run deep in the region's history and the blend is based on Tuscany's most representative grape, Sangiovese (60%), 385 is given a more "modern" cut with the addition of Merlot (20%), Ciliegiolo (10%) and Syrah (10%).

Lovely floral aromas with notes of quince and red apple lead onto a really fresh and bright palate with delicate apple, pear and berry fruit notes, a light refreshing tang and very light tannins with a hint of spice on the finish. Considering this is a natural wine there is no 'funk' or aggressive acidity or tannins, everything is in balance and has been well put together.

80% Mourvèdre, with the balance being Carignan, Grenache and Cinsault. Mourvèdre forms the backbone of the wine which has a quite dizzying complexity on the nose where plump bramble and cassis notes mix up with earthy spice and sage. On the palate it's silky smooth with the fruitiness following through nicely with black pepper and soft spice flavours chipping in as well.

Barbadillo Oloroso Sherry

Olorosos are Sherries that have aged in the absence of flor and are rich and full. As the name indicates it is a highly aromatic wine with toffee notes. This Oloroso is very slightly sweetened to leave a smooth satisfying finish in the mouth.

Once fermentation has finished the best robust wines are selected and fortified with wine based distilled spirit to 18%. 

Barbadillo Pedro Ximenez

The sweetest kind of sherry. This is made from a grape variety called Pedro Ximénez hence the name PX. When the grapes are ripe, they are picked and laid out in the sun to dry which further concentrates the sugar. The sweetest wines might contain 400g of sugar per litre! Expect flavours of dates, raisins, chocolate, and rum.

Incredible aromas of white truffle, meat, wet earth, lightly burnt orange peel and pure fruit. Medium-bodied and very compact, with a block of silky tannins that run through the palate and then come out at the end with a gorgeous texture. It’s very drinkable now, but will age wonderfully.

Bright and lively, there isn’t a moment unsuited to enjoying this exhilarating wine. The structure is there to age, but lurks in the background, giving just enough support so as not to dominate the character. I could drink this now, but I must resist temptation.
