Michel Ampeau is a rarity in Burgundy, only releasing wines from his incredible stock of back vintages when fully mature. One of the best Beaune 1er Crus from a great vintage. This is remarkably fresh with a beautiful, perfumed nose of forest fruits, overlaid with hints of bacon and spice. Lovely velvety texture, and such a vibrant core of fruit still present.
